Z-KEY-2ETH OPC UA is a Modbus gateway<->OPC UA is a device that enables integration between the Modbus protocol, widely used in industrial environments for communication between devices such as PLCs, sensors and actuators, and the OPC UA (Open Platform Communications Unified Architecture) protocol, which provides a modern, secure and scalable platform for industrial data exchange. Z-KEY-2ETH OPC UA, complete with two serial ports and two Ethernet ports, acts as a translator between the two protocols, allowing Modbus-based devices to communicate with OPC UA-compatible systems. This is particularly useful in Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) or Industry 4.0applications, where the need for open and interoperable standards is crucial to ensure efficient collection and analysis of data from plants, machinery and distributed systems. This device makes it possible to integrate an existing Modbus-based infrastructure with modern technologies that support real-time data collection, processing and distribution for advanced monitoring and control of industrial processes.

Note: This OPC UA gateway supports up to 100 TAG and 1 OPC client. For higher requirements, we recommend choosing gateways from the PASS series, designed to handle up to 2000 TAG and 50 OPC clients simultaneously.
