Z109REG2-1 is a high-performance isolated converter for universal voltage, current, thermocouple, RTD, potentiometer and rheostat inputs. Z109REG2-1 supplies 2-wire sensors with a stabilised 20 Vdc supply, max 20 mA, short-circuit protected. The converter measures and retransmits the signal on an isolated analog output, selectable as voltage or active/passive current. Z109REG2-1 also has a relay alarm contact output (SPST), which can be configured by PC, and a STROBE input used to activate the analog output on command from a PLC (as an alternative to the alarm contact). The successor to the Z109REG2 converter, Z109REG2-1 has a microUSB communication port on the front (replacing the 3.5 mm jack port). The microUSB port allows the module to be configured by PC or through the EASY Setup App for Android; the start and end of the range, additional input types, square-root extraction, filter, burn-out and other parameters can be programmed.
