SURPRISE Smart Display (HW rev. A0)

SURPRISE Smart Display (SSD) is a latest-generation IIoT Gateway/Router with a 7'' touchscreen HMI panel. The device integrates a powerful ARM microprocessor, a high-brightness display with proximity sensor, dual Ethernet ports, integrated I/O channels, a WiFi module and two serial ports. SSD is a versatile device offering advanced gateway, datalogger, alarm-management, Wi-Fi router, logic, VPN, remote-assistance / remote-control functions and convenient widget-based data display that requires no programming skills.

Configuration is performed via web server and requires no expensive development environments or programming skills as with standard HMIs. The touchscreen graphical interface can be used to set network and serial communication parameters, display graphs, manage alarms, send commands and customise the appearance of supervision pages with over 16 widgets and a database of 480 images.

SSD generates integrated HMI and client/server connectivity solutions for creating systems with varying complexity and different points of simultaneous access to the plant or individual machine. The device also integrates with data-analysis, supervision and business-management systems, ERP and MES, through the use of IIoT protocols such as MQTT and OPC-UA. SSD is ideal for providing digitalised, interconnected industrial solutions that maximise plant productivity and efficiency in line with Industry 4.0.
8 versions with one-time licences are available according to requirements. SENECA also provides the option of upgrading the user licence at a later date after purchase.
