Ethernet module with 8 analog inputs and 8 digital inputs/outputs

R-8AI-8DIDO is a mixed digital module with dual 10/100 Mbps Ethernet ports and a front Micro USB programming port. The device is designed for flexible wiring requirements, limited installation space and high-density I/O applications with integrated Ethernet networking.

R-8AI-8DIDO has 8 analog inputs and 8 digital channels that can be individually set as digital inputs or outputs. The module features 1.500 Vac isolation between inputs, outputs and the remaining low-voltage circuits. Configuration can be performed using dedicated software and a web server with HTML5 support. The IP address, MAC address and firmware version associated with each module can be identified or configured on the LAN through the SDD (Seneca Discovery Device) tool. R-8AI-8DIDO supports both ModBUS TCP-IP communication and RS485 serial communication with ModBUS RTU protocol.

R-8AI-8DIDO can be connected in Ethernet daisy-chain mode with fault bypass to ensure the Ethernet connection even if a module in the chain fails. Digital signals can be duplicated on one or more modules in Peer-to-Peer mode (I/O mirror function). Another advanced function is “ModBUS Passthrough”, which allows the module to route requests from Modbus TCP-IP to RS485, effectively acting as a gateway.
